The StonExpo/Marmomacc has announced the all new “Crews that ROCK” contest as a tribute to the hardworking crews representing the backbone of our industry. These crews use the very products, tools, equipment and technologies that shape the natural stone industry of today, as well as those showcased by the hundreds of quality manufacturers and suppliers that exhibit at StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas.

Crews have the opportunity to submit an entry consisting of a brief project and crew description, along with three images capturing a project completed in 2011. Projects can be a large mega-sized project, a small community-based endeavor, a residential project, the always important humanitarian/volunteer venture, or anything in-between. StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas will post all qualifying entries online at www.StonExpo.com to be viewed by thousands of website visitors, attendees, industry peers and professionals. Visitors to the website will be asked to consider all of the entries and vote for their top three favorite crews.

“What an amazing group of folks these industry crews represent—the hard-working fabricators and installers achieving the highest standards on a daily basis, all while striving to be the best-of-the-best. We wanted to create a way to recognize the best crews out there dnd make sure they have the opportunity to attend StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. They’re exactly what this industry is all about,” said Amie Gilmore, show manager, Hanley Wood Exhibitions.

Deadline for submissions is Nov. 14 with winners being notified by Dec. 19. Voting results will determine the First, Second and Third place winning crews and award them with a comprehensive travel package to StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2012. Entries can be sent to crewsthatrock@stonexpo.com.

StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2012 will be held January 24-26 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV. Exhibits will be open Tuesday through Thursday and the Education Program opens Monday, Jan. 23 and goes through Thursday.
